This is the first in a series of scheduled maintenance windows
to upgrade our Xen virtualization system from v3.0 to v3.4.
Rather than have an outage for the duration of the Xen upgrade,
we will instead be moving customers to a host system that has
already been upgraded, which for this change shall be
vps3.
The outage shall consist of shutting down your VPS on vps1,
moving the Xen configuration files to vps3, and then restarting
your VPS. As your VPS is stored on a SAN there is no need for your
virtual hard disk to be copied.
This will be carried out one VPS at a time using an automated
tool during the half hour maintenance window. Expected
downtime for each individual VPS is less than five
minutes.
