Plans

 

Our plans are available in two types: Standard and Plus; the Plus plans have double the disk space and data transfer of the standard plans.

Linux is available on any plan, however Windows 2008 requires a plan with at least 512MB RAM. Excess data usage is charged at $0.50 per Gigabyte (unless bandwidth pooling is used).

Each VPS comes with 4 virtual CPU cores and has a 100mbit connection to the internet.

Each plan comes with 1 IP address and 1 free backup per week. Additional IP addresses or backups can be purchased either during initial sign up; existing customers can use mPanel's Change Plan to adjust these settings.

If you have special requirements (for example, you want to run an image CDN with a small hard drive but plenty of data transfer) please contact us to discuss pricing.

Billing

During signup you will be charged for the first month's service. That day of the month becomes your recurring billing date; so if for example you sign up on the 5th April your next invoice will be billed on the 5th May, 5th June, and so on.

You may cancel your VPS at any time - there is no minimum notification period. We will continue to provide service until your next billing date; this "Next Invoice" date is shown within mPanel when you first login.

You may choose to change your plan at any time, as often as you like. If you do choose to change plan your billing date does not change - instead, the remaining time in the month is used to calculate a "pro rata" adjustment. For example,

• You sign up on the 1st April on the $20 plan
• You change to the $30 plan on the 16th April - that is, with 50% of the billing month remaining
• An additional charge of $5 will be placed on your credit card - 50% of the $10 difference in plan cost

If you change to a less expensive plan, an in-store credit will be applied to your account that is automatically applied to your next invoice.

Bandwidth Pooling

Customers with two or more Mammoth VPS automatically have bandwidth pooling enabled: the ability to combine each VPS data usage limit into a combined, total limit.

If you have two VPS and your first VPS reaches its data limit, data consumption will be recorded against the second VPS until both have reached their limit. More generally, this is how it works:

• As your VPS consumes data, it is added to your monthly "data used" counter.
• If your VPS reaches its data limit, we will check your other VPS to find the VPS that has consumed the least data and add the data usage onto that VPS.
• Eventually, all your VPS might reach their data limit, after which further data used will be recorded normally and billed as excess data.
